Plastic Surgeon Dr. Bryan C. McIntosh Opens Kirkland Office

Dr. Bryan McIntosh, a leading plastic surgeon, announced today that he is returning to the Pacific Northwest after a decade on the East Coast and opening up an office in Kirkland, Washington.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Bryan C. McIntosh has launched his new practice in Kirkland at 16 Central Way at the corner of Central and Market Street in the downtown area.

A native of Snohomish and graduate of Seattle Pacific University, Dr. McIntosh is returning to his Northwest roots after spending the past decade in New York and Connecticut.

"I couldn't have picked a better place to be than Kirkland," he said. "Even though I grew up nearby I had never visited Kirkland before and was absolutely shocked at how stunningly beautiful and pristine this area is. Our location is so centrally located to everything - all the shops and restaurants. But we also enjoy the beautiful scenery and backdrop of Lake Washington."

Dr. McIntosh earned his degree at Seattle Pacific in European studies with an emphasis on Russian. Throughout college, he worked at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and later at the Virginia Mason Research Center doing molecular biology in cancer research laboratories.

After receiving his undergraduate degree, Dr. McIntosh attended Saint Louis University, where he received his medical degree in 2002. He went on to complete his residency in general surgical training at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, Connecticut and a one-year a burn and wound surgery fellowship at Nassau University Medical Center in New York.

Dr. McIntosh completed his formal training with a two-year fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group in New York, the largest and oldest plastic surgical group in the United States.

In his new Kirkland practice, Dr. McIntosh plans to focus on facelifts, rhinoplasty, post-bariatric body contouring, and breast rejuvenation and reconstruction. But his extensive training has prepared him to handle a wide variety of plastic and reconstructive surgeries, from minor procedures to more complicated ones.

"Having done five years of general surgery, as well as caring for acute burns and wounds, really prepared me for just about anything," he said. "That kind of experience helps sharpen your surgical decision-making in all areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery."

Throughout his career, Dr. McIntosh has received numerous honors for his work, including the top award for plastic and reconstructive surgery from the Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Surgeons' competition. His writings have also been published in a host of medical journals, including the Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine and the Annals of Plastic Surgery.

When he's not working, Dr. McIntosh enjoys spending time with family, playing the piano, cooking, photography, running, traveling and studying Russian and German cultures and languages.

Dr. McIntosh can be reached at his office at 16 Central Way, by phone at 425.284.2120, or via email at [email protected]. Please also visit his website at https://drbryanmcintosh.com.
