Plum Natural Nail Spa Opens at Trails at 620

Online, October 22, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Plum Natural Nail Spa has opened in Northwest Austin. Plum is the latest addition to the Trails at 620 shopping center at 8300 N FM 620. Neighbors in the center include Freebirds World Burrito, The Galaxy Moviehouse & Eatery, and Flores Mexican Restaurant.

In addition to natural nail services, Plum offers brow shaping, body waxing, lash tinting and extensions, and skin care treatments. Most services are delivered with products made with natural and organic ingredients free of parabens, phthalates, and petroleum-derived ingredients.

"It was important to me to offer a real alternative to the corner nail salon. Our aim is to provide the service and tranquility of a full service spa, but without the price-tag or time commitment," said Parks. "Not only are we focused on using more environmentally conscious and healthful alternatives to the products and practices you see many salons, but we've made a special effort to provide a customer experience that is comfortable and relaxing."

That customer experience begins with the salon decor. A mix of chrome lighting, wood floors, and, of course, accents of plum and pink; the space is decidedly modern, but still casual. Guests are greeted by the friendly Plum staff, offered a beverage, and can enjoy free Wi-Fi, great music, and a favorite cooking show or movie on the two large screen TV's.

Parks says that it's the effort the spa puts on sanitation that will really put guests at ease, though. In addition to an extensive cleaning schedule, all tools and implements are either sanitized in an autoclave, the standard practice at medical facilities, or are used only once and then given to the client to use at home.
