Plustek Announces Palm Sized Business Card Scanner

(www.plustek.com/usa), a manufacturer of imaging devices (including portable scanners, sheet fed/flat bed scanners, wide format scanners) and network video recorders for IP cameras, today announced the MobileOffice S800, the latest offering from Plustek's award-winning line of mobile office scanners. The MobileOffice S800 scans 10 cards per minute and automatically recognizes and extracts all contact information upon insertion.

The MobileOffice S800 is only 2"x4"x1" and is powered by the USB bus. It does not require external power or adapters making it easy to scan business cards on a PC, laptop or netbook at an office, tradeshow, airport, customer's site or on the road. The LED based illumination systems and intelligent image processing provide the highest quality image possible (up to 600 dpi) with accurate recognition and data extraction. Once scanned, all contact information on the card is saved in CardirisV4 and can easily be exported in many different formats including: GoldMine, Lotus Notes, InfoBusiness, Excel, Outlook, GroupWise, Palm Desktop, ACT!, Time and Chos, iPhone, CSV and vCard. The MobileOffice S800 is Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista compatible and can recognize business cards from 50 different countries.
