PME Integrates Turner Designs Chlorophyll Sensor For Real-Time Monitoring

PME has integrated the Cyclops 7 Chlorophyll sensor, manufactured by Turner Designs, to their T-Chain water column sensing string.

Precision Measurement Engineering, Inc (PME), an internationally known oceanographic and limnologic instrument design corporation, has integrated the Turner Designs Cyclops-7 Chlorophyll sensor to their T-Chain, a multi-sensor string.

The T-Chain is a temperature string designed to collect a variety of water column measurements such as temperature, dissolved oxygen, PAR and pressure. The T-Chain is used as a water quality monitoring and management device for collecting frequent samples and storing them to a data logger. Some data loggers can telemeter the data for real-time analysis.

Future additional T-Chain Cyclops-7 sensors can include blue green algae, rhodamine WT Dye, fluorescein dye and turbidity. The sensors are manufactured by Turner Designs, a company that provides sensitive, reliable and easy-to-use fluorometers for environmental and industrial use. These sensors can be removed from the T-Chain for easy cleaning and maintenance.
