The Greater Cleveland Sports Commission is pleased to announce it will be hosting the first annual PNC Greek Step Show on Friday, September 9th from 7:00-10:00pm at the Cleveland Convention Center Music Hall. The PNC Greek Step Show is one of the weekend's festivities leading up to the Cleveland Classic football game presented by McDonald's when Central State University will play North Carolina Central University at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

Nine total sorority and fraternity Greek organizations of the National PanĀ¬-Hellenic Council (NPHC) will celebrate the unique art of stepping by using their bodies as an instrument to produce complex rhythms and sounds. Through a mixture of chants, footsteps, and hand claps these groups will amuse and excite the crowd of all ages.

"We are very excited to include the PNC Greek Step Show as part of our dynamic Cleveland Classic weekend. We anticipate a great crowd will come out to watch this cultural, energetic show that is sure to deliver strong performances," stated David Gilbert, President and CEO of the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.

The sorority and fraternity groups will be competing for cash prizes totaling $8,000. Judging categories will include introduction, creativity and originality, complexity, synchronization, and group exit.

To add to the excitement of this high energy event, DJ Lo-Key will be the disc jockey for the night. Lo-Key has performed alongside numerous well-known celebrities such as Russell Simons, Ricky Smiley, Busta Rhymes, Outkast and more. Central State University Alum and in-arena announcer for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Ahmaad Crump, will be hosting the evening alongside Kym Whitley.
