Online, February 14, 2012 (Newswire.com) - With most U.S. employees only staying on the job for only an average 4.4 years (2010 Bureau of Labor Statistics), business owners have reason to celebrate when an employee bucks the national trend and exhibits longevity and loyalty.
One such employee, Scott Austin, warehouse supervisor for PODS, recently celebrated 10 years of service to the Daytona Beach moving and storage company. Austin supervises operations at the organization's 34,000 sq. ft. warehouse storage center overseeing driver coordination, service scheduling, equipment maintenance and customer relations.
"Scott has been an integral part of our company's growth and success," said Bob Eales, owner of PODS Daytona Beach. "His can-do attitude keeps our customers satisfied and coming back for more."
Last (month), Eales was joined by other PODS employees as they thanked Austin for his decade of service and presented the avid fisherman with a custom crafted fishing pole.
When not at work, Austin, a Holly Hill resident, enjoys fishing, Nascar, coin collecting and spending time with his wife and 16 year-old son.
"The best thing about working for PODS is the convenience and quality of our product," said Austin. "It's easy to represent a company that offers services that customers truly appreciate."
