PODS, KOGO Radio And Homefront San Diego Unite To Help Local Families Of U.S. Military, Host Donation Drive June 25

PODS Moving and Storage, AM 600 KOGO and Homefront San Diego hope to collect donations from the local community to give U.S. Military families a hand up on June 25.

Now is the time to show your American pride and help our U.S. military and their families with basic necessities for living while serving our country.

PODS®, Homefront San Diego and AM 600 KOGO have issued a call to action to help bridge the economic deficiency some military families are experiencing and help fill the PODS® container with donations for service men and women.

Current needs include baby items such as new cribs and mattresses, new or gently used strollers, high chairs, bassinets, baby clothes sizes newborn to 5T, crib bedding, new packages of diapers, wipes, shampoo and lotion. Household goods also are needed such as sofas, end tables, lamps, bedroom furniture, kitchen items, pots, pans, appliances and computers. Cash donations, gift cards to grocery stores also are requested for families.

Donations will be accepted at the PODS® container between 10 a.m. - 12 noon on Saturday, June 25 at:
KOGO Broadcasting Studios
9660 Granite Ridge Dr., San Diego, CA 92123

About Homefront San Diego
Homefront San Diego offers a wide range of services that are available to lower enlisted active duty Military and their families. All services are grant based in partnership with the San Diego Council of the Navy League, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. All funds received directly benefit San Diego military families.

Homefront San Diego was established to support families of deployed service members in San Diego shortly following 9/11. With an overwhelming number of service men and women in combat zones finding themselves distracted by concerns over the wellbeing of their families at home, Homefront San Diego stepped up to care for the families so the soldiers could focus on their mission.

Homefront San Diego offers help and aid for military families with everything from emergency food and gas, car repairs, furniture, computers and anything else a family might need with the support of donations from the local community.
