Portland CEO Tim Phillips teams up with fellow Oregon company

The Portland CEO of a large investment firm is helping to secure the future of employees of a fellow Portland, Oregon company, the Yoshida Group, by handling their retirement plans. Tim Phillips, CEO of Phillips & Company will has been hired by the Group to update the retirement options of its employees, and to offer them a range of personalized 401k plans.
"Our team of advisors will evaluate the company's plans and ensure investment benchmarks are met on a yearly basis," the Portland CEO noted.
To keep them up-to-date with their retirement plans, Phillips & Company will engage Yoshida Group employees each business quarter to provide them with individual investment advice that will better prepare them for their future, CEO Phillips said.
"Clients will come to expect more from their advisors in the form of increased communications that are clear, concise, forthright and consistent with their view of what a good relationship should be," the Portland based CEO of Phillips & Company added.
Mr. Phillips also noted his that his company will continue to work with Yoshida Group on an on-going basis to ensure that his fellow Portland-based company's needs are met.
The Yoshida Group is a conglomerate based in Portland, Oregon, and is made up of 18 different companies. Based on a 'secret family recipe' for a teriyaki-style gourmet marinade, the Yoshida Group's first company originated from the humble beginnings of Junki and Linda Yoshida's kitchen stove and a 10-gallon cooking pot more than 20 years ago. The Portland CEO said he was glad to team up with such a diverse company.
Phillips & Company has roots firmly planted in the local community. Founded in 1992, the investment firm is an independent, SEC-registered company with more than 8,000 clients across the United States, and is one of the largest firms in the state of Oregon, according to the Portland CEO.
The company leverages its collective experience to recommend and monitor investment strategies for its clients, CEO Phillips said.
