Portraits gone Monster, Halloween special.
Local Erie artist, Vincent Russell, decided to go all out on Halloween. Costumes and decorations are all good, but why not make your portrait Halloween themed as well? You can choose to be any monster you want or even create your own monster and have it drawn by portrait artist Vincent Russell. Monsters is not the limit ether, you can choose to be drawn as a comic book, fantasy or any other character you wish. The sky is the limit when it comes to your own imagination.
Vincent has been painting and drawing for many years and his favorite theme has always been horror. He has been drawing comic books and illustration as well as portraits and believes that combining them together is a great, fun way to customize a gift or simply make your house or room a little more you. This year he decided that Halloween is a perfect excuse to make it happen.
There is a limitation of how what kind of monster you can be due to costume and make up limits. Why give up on the idea if you can bring it to life on paper and have it hanging on your wall for every one to see. All you need is a good quality photo and an idea of exactly what monster you would like to be drawn as. Vincent works with every idea and does his best to express it on paper. "These portraits are not simple images either, each of them has it's own personality," says Vincent Russell. He changes facial expressions to show the feelings behind the face. After all, monsters can have feelings too. It is not uncommon to see one of his works and be able to tell that this specific character is actually a very kind one although he looks monstrous while another can look stunningly beautiful but have a wicked soul.
One particularly interesting part of these portraits is that unlike most portrait artists he draws his portraits in pen and ink and if it is desired can color them with watercolor. Just as it was done in the good old days of traditionally drawn comic books. After all, comic books are what he does best.
Quality and satisfaction for affordable price is a very important aspect of Vincent's art work. He tries to provide the best quality work within reasonable time while keeping prices low enough for every day American to afford. Most importantly it's accessible to anyone in the US and most countries out side of US. All you have to do is place an order at UnnervingNightmare.etsy.com
