Post University Making Campus Improvements In Time for Fall Semester

Post University students will start the Fall semester benefiting from a number of exciting campus improvements.

When Post University's main campus students return for the start of the Fall semester, they will benefit from a number of campus improvements.

In addition to a state-of-the art game design and animation lab to support the University's new undergraduate Certificate in Game Design and Animation, the University is doubling the number of computers available for student use in the Library.

Students who want to play a little B-ball after classes and on weekends will have access to a brand new, lighted basketball court not far from several of the on-campus dorms. Other improvements include a new athletic playing field, and a facelift for the oldest building on campus, Torrance Hall.

"We're making some significant improvements to our campus facilities that I'm sure will be appreciated by our students, faculty and staff," said Dr. Thomas Samph, Chancellor of Post University. "We're upgrading our existing facilities and adding new ones to support a growing number of students, academic programs and athletic programs on campus. It's a very exciting time at the University."

The University expects to welcome the largest incoming freshman class in the school's 120-year history, added Samph. It's also experiencing growth within its online division as more and more working adults seek to earn college degrees while balancing work and family responsibilities. Post University is a pioneer in providing online education and is now the largest provider of online higher education in the state.

Post University has built a solid reputation for providing high quality undergraduate and graduate degree programs that are taught by faculty who not only have advanced degrees, but bring years of relevant professional experience to the classroom. "We also are very proud of our reputation for providing exceptional student support services, and a very personal brand of customer service to both our on-campus and online students," said Samph.

Last year, the University added wireless connectivity throughout the entire campus, and renovated the Dining Hall and campus walkways, among other improvements. The University also has added more than 100 employees to support its on campus and online student populations.

Founded in 1890, Post University is a student-focused, career-driven university committed to providing students with the knowledge, personal skills and experience required to be leaders in their chosen fields. Located in Waterbury, Conn., Post University provides a wide array of degree programs for on-campus and online students of all ages. It is known for its quality, career-driven academic programs, small classes, and competitive NCAA Division II athletics. Its more than 5,000 full- and part-time students come from the United States and abroad, and are supported by faculty whose mission is to prepare students to compete and succeed in today's global workplace.
