Powerlifters Anticipate Single Ply Nationals in Orlando
World Powerlifting Congress Owner, Kieran Kidder, offers an immense opportunity to weight lifters from around the world to test their abilities in competition.
Online, February 11, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Aurora, Illinois February 11, 2010 - Among many upcoming weight lifting events, the Single Ply Nationals (http://www.powerliftingwatch.com/powerlifting-meets/apf/2010/single-ply-nationals) on April 18, 2010 in Orlando, Florida will bring talent from across the country. Weight lifters will compete at a National level in both Power Lifting and Bench Press competitions.
The American Powerlifting Federation sponsors the Single Ply Nationals regulates the equipment that lifters are permitted to use during the competition. The APF along with companion division, AAPF or Amateur American Powerlifting Federation are amateur organizations owned by power lifter and strength training guru, Kieran Kidder, for the fair and ethic practice of the sport.
All power lifting organizations have standards to which the lifter is held. Some federations state that the only equipment to be used by weight lifters is a leather belt. Others, like the APF and the AAPF allow the competitors to wear clothing that enables them to lift more weight.
It is stated by the APF that "bench shirts and lifting suits with unlimited plies in denim, canvas, and polyester" will be permitted during competition. In addition, "Velcro and open back shirts are legal. Up to double ply briefs with legs and up to 2.5 m knee wraps are allowed"
Bench shirts are made of many different materials for use by weight lifters in all divisions. They are very tight and offer support to the lifter's muscles enabling them to sustain much greater weights than without the use of these devices. Often made of multiple layers, of canvas, denim or polyester, or in different classes, only single ply fabric is permitted.
This April, World Powerlifting Congress owner, Kieran Kidder is promoting the Single Ply Nationals in Orlando, Florida to lend opportunity to men and women of all ages who would like to test their abilities in the power lifting and bench press categories. The use of single ply fabric bench shirts will avail greater lifts for competitors.
Enthusiasts are encouraged to join (http://www.worldpowerliftingcongress.com/Memberships.htm) their favorite powerlifting federations to keep up to date on upcoming events and meet results.
