Online, April 3, 2012 (Newswire.com) - PPM Logix® located in Dallas, Texas has launched it's newest website at www.ppmlogix.net. The site provides Private Placement Memorandum Templates, downloadable in Microsoft Word®, for Attorneys, CPA's, Investment Bankers, Investment Advisors and Stock Brokers. The company's main website (www.ppmlogix.com) is a Social Network for Private Capital Industry Pro's.
PPM Logix® has been covering the new JOBS Act, specifically, the Crowdfunding Act, which is part of the entire Bill. The JOBS Act, expected to be signed into law on Thursday, includes provisions which allow for the General Public to invest in private companies, without being considered "accredited investors." According to PPM Logix® management, until now, private capital investments were afforded only to those who had a net worth of $1M and incomes of over $200k a year. The JOBS Act significantly reduces the barriers to entry for average investors who aren't millionaires. Mom's and Pop's will be able to invest up to 5% of their annual earnings in a small business investment offering, and partake in its profits, that is, if the company has profits.
"Crowdfunding has been associated with donation-only investments made via the internet. The new JOBS Act will change that. Now, instead of donations, investors can reap a profit for their investment. This new law also allows small companies to solicit investments, an act that, in the past, would have gotten them fined by the SEC, sanctioned by State Securities Regulators, and possibly even thrown in jail for Securities Fraud. The recent downturn in the economy has made this new legislation more important than ever. Small businesses haven't been able to gain access to capital. The banks aren't lending, and more foreign entities are investing money in start ups. This legislation will even the playing field, and we've designed PPM Logix® to be a major resource for small businesses," stated Mike Stapleton, PPM Logix® President.
PPM Logix® has helped get the word out by becoming active, sending emails and blogging about the importance of passing the legislation. Entrepreneurs wishing to raise capital are encouraged to visit PPM Logix® to learn about the process of raising private capital and stay informed about the new laws surrounding this industry.
