PR-Hamster Launches New Public Relations Link Portal
The Berlin based company pr-hamster.com launched its website on 21 June 2010. It contains over 600 annotated links on Public Relations.
Online, June 21, 2010 (Newswire.com) - pr-hamster.com launches a new website with links to over 350 PR websites and 250 PR blogs exclusively about Public Relations.
The link portal seems an outdated tool, yet the founders or PR Hamster claim simplicity remains key. "You can find or follow almost anything in real time through sites like Google or Twitter, but when I started working in Public Relations, I had no idea where to go for a simple overview of relevant tools" 24-year old founder Jasper Jansen explains. "If you are new to the PR industry you can use the site to explore all the different tools that professionals use and find blogs and websites that you didn't even know existed! Curious what constitutes good crisis communications? Wondering why you should care about "SEO"? Check out the sites pr-hamster collected for you and you will know all about it!" he adds.
The website only links to tools that are useful for a PR professional. Each link comes with a short description, to allow for a quick preview and easy comparison. In addition, all the PR sites are labeled and sorted into categories such as 'Press Release Distribution', 'Event Management' and 'Public Affairs'. Users can subscribe to rss feeds to keep up with the latest PR websites and PR blogs, or keep an eye on a competitor.
The website constitutes little innovation, but the simple service does bring the PR industry some familiar comfort in times of Tweets, status updates and podcasts.
