Pre IPO Offshore Closely Follows Slack as They Reach $200 Million Financing

On Friday Slack reached the 200 Million in venture capital Financing, which has boosted their valuation to $3.8 Billion.

Slacks latest round of financing shows that some companies are still able to attract wary investors, many of which are flush with cash. Alongside Slack, Snapchat the messaging app raised $175 million last month.

Investors boosted the Slack's valuation by $1 billion, up from $2.8 billion a year ago.

The latest funding, which brings Slack's total venture financing to $540 million, was reported in recent weeks by numerous news outlets. Slack on Friday confirmed the round, which was led by Thrive Capital and included GGV Capital and Comcast Ventures, as well as existing investors.

Slack makes messaging software for businesses, designed to help teams collaborate and communicate more efficiently,

The company says it has 2.7 million daily active users, although the majority of users use the free version around 800000 are paid users. Slack has already raised the attention of various businesses to use their platform which allows communications and collaboration to flow freely without complication.

With this latest round of financing Slack should go from strength to strength securing there position in the business world Stated Technology Analyst Emily Schulz.
