Chinese private investment into the US took a significant step forward with the announcement that the inaugural US-China Investment Week has been confirmed.

Chinese private investment into the US took a significant step forward with the announcement that the inaugural US-China Investment Week has been confirmed. Organized by PiYi Investment and The Council of American States in China (CASIC) together with SNR Denton, the US-China Investment Week will take place in 6 cities across the US from September 20th to 29th, 2012.

Over 50 high net worth Chinese investors, Chinese media, and institutional partners will visit Arlington (TX), Irving (TX), Richardson (TX), Los Angeles (CA), Milwaukee (WI), Orlando (FL), Portland (OR) and Washington (DC) to conduct business meetings and community forums in search of investment opportunities. Supported by the local economic agencies of each host city, the US-China Investment Week will be the largest ever delegation of Chinese private investors to visit the US.

"US-China relations are at a critical point, where interdependence, globalization, and economic cycles are changing the dynamics and direction of capital flows. With $1-2 trillion of FDI estimated to flow out of China in the next 5-10 years, now is a critical time to identify strategies by which this capital can be steered into the U.S. economy in a way that is both mutually beneficial and productive" explained Jay Riskind, Managing Director, PiYi Investment. Mr. Riskind elaborated "Through a series of events spread over 9 days in 6 cities and over 1000 attendees the US-China Investment Week aims to build understanding of local economic clusters, relationships with local business owners, and foster investments into key sectors of social and cultural impact. 2012 marks the first year of the program and the scale of events are indicative of the level of interest in US-China cross border relations and investment"

Paul Swenson, President of The Council of American States in China (CASIC) added, "The US-China Investment Week will bring together the fastest growing network of Chinese private investors and over 100 actionable investment projects in the US". Mr. Swenson continued "A results oriented agenda will balance a focus on the advancement of private investment transactions from China into the US, market trust building, and insights intended to move deal-making beyond the introductory phase"

The week commences with the US-China Cross-Border Private Investment Summit at the Cowboys Stadium in Dallas on September 21st and 22nd, before heading to Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Orlando and Portland for regional investor road shows. The Week will conclude in Washington DC with the US-China Investment Policy Forum.

The US-China Investment Week will take place at some of the nation's most iconic landmarks with senior US officials, both past and present, confirmed as attendees.
