Prime Medical Donates Antimicrobial Scrubs and Lab Coats to Charitable Organization

Florida company sends 30,000 sets of antimicrobial health care apparel to support Matthew 25: Ministries, an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization

Chlorine-Shield® antimicrobial scrubs and lab coats by Prime Medical

Prime Medical, the exclusive manufacturer of Clorox Healthcare™ Privacy Curtains and Clorox Pro™ Scrubs & Lab Coats, is donating more than 30,000 sets of antimicrobial scrubs and lab coats to Matthew 25: Ministries, an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization.

The donated scrubs and lab coats are part of Prime Medical’s former line of health care apparel that is designed with a unique antimicrobial textile technology called BioSmart®. The fabric binds a shield of bacteria-fighting molecules with each laundering in an EPA-registered bleach that can inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria or viruses on the apparel.

"At Prime Medical, our mission statement is Made to be More®," said Steve Glover, Chief Commercial Officer for Prime Medical. "It’s a motto that not only represents the unique capability of our products but also our personal commitment to do more in the service of others. We are pleased that our remnant inventory of antimicrobial health care apparel will be put to great use in many areas of need which Matthew 25: Ministries serves in the U.S and around the world.”

Founded in 1991, Matthew 25: Ministries has developed an efficient system to rescue and reuse excess products which were deemed no longer useful by U.S. standards from corporations and manufacturers, and to transport them to those in desperate need nationally and internationally. Donations are processed in Cincinnati, Ohio, and then distributed to the poorest of the poor and disaster victims worldwide. Prime Medical selected Matthew 25: Ministries because of their reach, ability and demonstrated impact as a charitable organization and its 4-star ranking by Charity Navigator and GuideStar’s Platinum Seal of Transparency.

“We can’t thank Prime Medical enough for their generous support of antimicrobial scrubs and lab coats that will help our work with the poorest of the poor and disaster victims around the world,” said Don Jones, National Accounts Manager. “Medical supplies are among the most highly sought-after items in developing countries. For ongoing humanitarian aid and in the aftermath of disasters, medical supplies are often in short supply and high demand,” explained Jones.

The donated product was the remaining inventory after Prime Medical redesigned and rebranded its line of antimicrobial products in 2018 to CloroxPro™ Scrubs & Lab Coats and Clorox Healthcare™ Privacy Curtains through a trademark licensing agreement with Clorox Professional Products Company. Since 2015, Prime Medical has been committed to giving back through charitable donations to CURE International's Zambia hospital and Tebow CURE Hospital in the Philippines.
