Prita Chhabra to Headline Calgary's 2nd Annual India Fest

Online, August 13, 2010 (Newswire.com) - CALGARY, AB - She's the newest and hottest sensation on the Canadian music scene. Now, South Asian Canadian singer/songwriter Prita Chhabra will dazzle the Calgary audience when she headlines India Fest 2010.

Prita, who was recently nominated for a 2010 Toronto Independent Music Award, will be arriving in Calgary between a busy Summer touring schedule which has included stops in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, and Orlando to name a few. Her signature style combines R&B, pop, and South Asian influences to create a sound which is completely her own.

India Fest is a free, family-friendly festival held at Calgary's Shaw Millennium Park on August 29, 2010 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The event provides a platform for both traditional and contemporary artists of South Asian music and dance.
