In support of The Giving Back Foundation, a Private Charity Screening for the short film "Giving Back," Directed by Mrs. Meera Gandhi, will be held on 16 March 2011 (Thursday) evening at The Grand Cinema at Elements.

In support of The Giving Back Foundation, a Private Charity Screening for the short film "Giving Back," Directed by Mrs. Meera Gandhi, will be held on 16 March 2011 (Thursday) evening at The Grand Cinema at Elements. The event is fully sponsored by two Luxury Swiss brands - Caran d'Ache and Perrelet.

The Giving Back Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established in 2010 by Meera T. Gandhi. Its beneficiaries are carefully selected existing charities and individuals around the world, with special emphasis on women and children in need. Alleviating poverty, illness, and suffering, and helping to educate young children are the primary activities of the Giving Back Foundation, whose motto is, "We are to the universe only as much as we give back to it."

Private Charity Screening

The 19-minute documentary, "Giving Back," was produced by Meera Gandhi in the summer of 2010 to show how several of her well known friends (including Cherie Blair, Kerry Kennedy, Bono, Raj Loomba and red carpet interviews and vignettes with others such as Hillary Clinton) are giving back to humanity in different ways. Meera's film also includes scenes from Mother Teresa's Asha Dan 25 years ago. Screenings of Giving Back have been held in New York, London, Washington, DC Mumbai, and in several other U.S. cities and in universities and high schools.

The Charity Private Screening of this extraordinary short film will be held on 16 March 2011 at The Grand Cinema at Elements. The Cocktail reception will start at 7pm, followed by the screening and comments from Meera at 8pm.

The ticket price is HKD1000 and up and all the proceeds will be donated to The Giving Back Foundation, a registered 501(3)C tax exempt organization.

About Meera Gandhi

Meera Gandhi is a Humanitarian, Mother, Businesswoman and Diplomat who was born in Mumbai, India. She is half Irish and half Indian, and was raised in India, Ireland and the U.K.. Mrs. Gandhi is the founder of The Giving Back Foundation, dedicating herself to solutions for human suffering and deprivation around the globe. She is noted for her life motto, "We are to the universe only as much as we give back to it."
