Propel Marketing Joins Boston PR Community: A Collaborative Effort to Help Victims of Boston Marathon Bombings

Online, May 24, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Propel Marketing, a digital marketing firm specializing in helping small and medium-sized businesses improve their online presence, is pleased to join the Boston PR community in a collaborative effort to raise money for victims of the April 15th Boston Marathon bombings. Propel Marketing will be a co-sponsor of the May 29 Boston PRoud event, which is being co-hosted and sponsored by more than 40 public relations, marketing and communications firms.

The Boston PRoud event will bring together more than 800 people to raise money for The One Fund Boston, which was created the day after the bombings by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino to raise funds for families affected by the tragedy.

"All of us at Propel are proud to be part of Boston PRoud," said Propel Marketing President, Peter Newton. "Many of us watched the smoke from the bombs rise over the city that day. And we all have been deeply impacted by the stories of tragedy, bravery, and heroism. I don't know if we'll ever be able to do truly enough to help the victims, but we are honored to be among the agencies just trying to do something."

Boston-based PR and Marketing agencies have inherent promotional abilities that have led the event to be sold out three times with the requirement of additional venues. The event will take place from 5-8pm at the Back Bay Social Club, Dillon's, and Lir. All donations will go to directly to The One Fund Boston.
