Online, December 8, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Volunteer Maryland, and AmeriCorps program of the Governor's is hosting a series of inforamtion sessions to discuss our two AmeriCorps programs, and help nonprofits in accessing the goodness of fit between our programs, and your organization needs. These 90 minute presentations will detail the benefits of both our Volunteer Maryland Coordinator program, and or VISTA program. Sessions will be held in the following locations:
January 19 - La Plata
January 20 - Baltimore City
January 22 - Wye Mills
January 27 - Frederick
January 29 - Salisbury
February 3 - Silver Spring

Founded in 1992, Volunteer Maryland works with nonprofit agencies to provide human and environmental services across the state. Since its inception, Volunteer Maryland has worked with 500 nonprofits and served more than one million Maryland citizens. The program oversees two types of AmeriCorps placements: AmeriCorps State and AmeriCorps VISTA.
