ProPoint Graphics Co-Founder Volunteers as Citywide Graphic Arts Competition Judge
Creative director and co-founder of leading presentation design firm will be judging PowerPoint presentation designs of New York City high school students during graphic arts competition.
Online, May 2, 2010 (Newswire.com) - ProPoint Graphics, LLC, a professional presentation services firm specializing exclusively in PowerPoint and Flash presentations, today announced that co-founder Jim Confalone will be a volunteer judge in the final round of the 9th Annual Citywide Graphic Arts Competition.
Sponsored by CityTech, the NYC Department of Education and the Graphic Arts Industry Advisory Commission, the 9th Annual Citywide Graphic Arts Competition comprises of graphic communications students from high schools all over New York City competing in seven categories including Desktop Publishing & Design, Digital Photography, Digital Video Production, Offset Printing, PowerPoint Presentation, Student Filmmakers, and Web Site Design. Finalists in each category have been selected by graphics teachers and industry volunteers during a qualifying round. These Finalists will showcase their talents and skills during the final round of the competition, which will be held at the City University of New York's CityTech in Brooklyn on Friday, May 28, 2010.
Mr. Confalone will be responsible for choosing the first, second and third place winners among the Finalists in the PowerPoint Presentation category.

Mr. Confalone is ProPoint's creative director and is responsible for production operations. Prior to ProPoint, he worked as a web and graphic designer in the New York area. Mr. Confalone holds an MFA with Honors from the Rhode Island School of Design and a BA Summa Cum Laude in Fine Arts from Amherst College.
