Prospect Solutions Announces New Team-Building Push

The Prospect Solutions crew is starting a new team-building initiative that will focus on developing new levels of collaboration as well as bringing on various new team members, according to the company's director, Mike.

​​​Mike explained that collaboration has always been held in high regard at Prospect Solutions. However, he believes that there is always room for improvement, even for industry-leading firms. As such, he has been working with the rest of the managers to enhance their efforts to encourage collaboration.

“It is essential to work effectively together,” he asserted. “No individual can be an expert in every area of business. In a creative industry like ours, that fact is even truer. We have to work together to keep coming up with the most innovative campaigns. Although the Prospect Solutions team has always believed in this, it is still important for me to make collaboration as easy as possible.”

Prospect Solutions’ Director Shares Tips for Improving Collaboration

Mike indicated that the most important step he has taken at Prospect Solutions to encourage collaboration has been to rely on and trust others. He stated that all team members take their cues from the company leadership. If he is unwilling to work with others, he can’t expect anyone else to be. This sense of trust has to be pervasive in order to accomplish any meaningful collaboration.

“By being honest with each other and being respectful, we create an environment in which collaboration feels natural,” Mike stated. “We add to this by setting clear goals that the whole team participates in determining. This sense of common purpose also helps further teamwork. Beyond that, we just try to encourage and facilitate communication.”

He added that it is important for team members to feel as if they know each other on a personal level. By hosting regular team nights, he encourages bonding and establishes an even deeper sense of reliance between associates. Sometimes they also use retreats and workshops to specifically develop communication and trust.

“Ultimately, collaboration is not that complicated,” Mike asserted. “People in a group naturally want to work together. The secret is to encourage it and make it as easy as possible. Setting clear team expectations is yet another way to do this. Giving people the right tools, space, and opportunity to collaborate is also essential.”

Mike pointed out that celebrating diversity is useful as well. “Diversity in business is important, not just because it is right but also because it improves creativity. We make it a point to acknowledge and celebrate our individual stories and perspectives. By finding each of our own strengths, we are all the more productive as a team.”
