Protect a Home From Fire by Supporting the Structural Barrier Shield Kickstarter Campaign
Structural Barrier Shield's patented system was developed and inspired by the emergency tents that firemen use to fight forest fires.
Effingham, Illinois, March 29, 2017 (Newswire.com) - D.A.L Enterprises, Inc., the creators of Structural Barrier Shield, have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funding to help ensure that anyone who may be a potential victim this fire season has access to the Structural Barrier Shield, which can save their homes and possessions. Fire season is already underway and thousands of homes are at risk. According to the U.S. Forestry Service, 77,000 communities are in fire prone areas. The company aims to help individuals living in areas that are prone to wildfires like California, Oregon and Colorado, and ships nationwide to serve clients across the United States.
“While many Kickstarter campaigns are focused on entertainment or improving the quality of lives, ours is on preserving quality of life,” says Krystal Saunders, CEO of D.A.L Enterprises, Inc. “When a red flag or level one warning is called, people that have the Structural Barrier Shield can place it on their homes or businesses quickly. I want people to be able to leave having the peace of mind that they will not have to replace their home and every item they owned. The lives they built in the home or business will still be standing when they get back, and the only cleanup is outdoors of their intact structure.”

The Structural Barrier Shield fire protection system utilizes flame retardant panels that are constructed of a high-quality fire resistant material bonded to a reflective aluminum coating that reflects up to 95 percent of the radiant heat protecting from flame and flying embers. Each panel is sewn with fire resistant threads. The product does not require any complicated assembly that uses water, pumps, electricity, or foam.
The Barrier Shield’s design allows homeowners to set it up themselves. It requires very little, if any, physical attachment to the structure. Anchors are screwed into the ground and are connected with straps. Once all of the panels cover the home or structure, each strap is tightened to secure each panel to the structure, effectively sealing the structure from wildfires. The reflective and insulating properties of the material protect the structure underneath from embers and radiant heat, keeping the home and valuables safe from the flames.
The Kickstarter campaign aims to raise $65,000 and offers some benefits to each pledge level. The money raised will help the business to build awareness of the availability of the product as well as create more response teams to get the product into the communities that need it most. As more orders of the Structural Barrier Shield are needed, the company also hopes to create jobs to fill orders, manufacture panels, and build additional response team personnel.
