Pujols Family Foundation Hosts Bowling Event for California Families
Online, October 14, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The Pujols Family Foundation (PFF) of Southern California is bringing together individuals with Down syndrome and their families for an afternoon of fun at the Hitters & Splitters bowling event October 20th hosted by Concourse Bowling in Anaheim, California.
PFF is inviting individuals with Down syndrome to bowl with family members, play arcade games and participate in other fun, including food, a balloon artist and a flip book photo booth. The event is free to program participants. Each group can include one person with Down syndrome and up to three family members.
"These events are a chance for individuals with Down syndrome and their families to bond with each other and other families in the community in a fun environment," says Crystal Rowland, PFF Southern California's Special Events and Development Director. "We want to give them opportunities that will enrich their lives and provide great memories."
The Pujols Family Foundation is honored to have the support of event sponsor Concourse Bowling in Anahiem. Family-owned and operated for 23 years, Concourse Bowling supports many nonprofit organizations in Anaheim and Southern California. "We are honored to be the event sponsor for the Hitters & Splitters event and support The Pujols Family Foundation of Southern California with their work for individuals with Down syndrome" says Aron Rainone, owner of Concourse Bowling.
Hitters & Splitters is the latest classic PFF event to come to Southern California for the first time as the foundation continues to expand its work in the state. Founded in St. Louis, MO., in 2005 by Los Angeles Angels baseball player Albert Pujols and his wife, Deidre, the Pujols Family Foundation is in its inaugural year in Southern California.
