Pure Breitling Exhibition 2011 Took Off In Flying Colours

Online, August 23, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Singapore - Breitling celebrated another brilliant chapter in their horology heritage with the opening of PURE BREITLING Exhibition 2011 at Paragon Atrium on 17 August 2011. Themed "ONE HEART THREE LEGENDS", the exhibition paid tribute to the Breitling first ever in-house movement technology - Caliber 01 movement that is fitted in three legendary models - Navitimer, Chronomat and Transocean Chronograph.

Highlight of the opening night was the launch of Breitling's limited edition Avenger Seawolf Blacksteel. With only 100 pieces available worldwide and 30 over pieces in Singapore, this uber-cool black beauty proved to be a huge hit among those who attended the glamorous opening.

Other highlights of the exhibition included the latest Breitling collections, some of the all-time Breitling favourites, the brand new Chronomat GMT with Breitling's latest in-house movement, Caliber 04, and an up-close examination of Breitling's in-house movement Caliber 01.

With Breitling's deep-rooted association with aviation, it was no surprise that the exhibition also featured a couple of the legends in the sky. Standing tall in the midst of the showcases was a 3D model of AERO L-39 ALBATROS, the star of Breitling Jet team - the largest civilian aerobatic display team in Europe. These sleek jets, with the ability to fly within less than 3m of each other at impressive speeds of almost 700km/h at 8G accelerations, embody the very essence of Breitling - daring, speed and precision. Sitting majestically on the stage was a replica of BREITLING SUPER CONSTELLATION "STAR OF SWITZERLAND". First built in 1955, this giant in the sky is one of the finest symbols of the conquest of the skies. Grounded for years, it took to the air again this spring of 2011 in a new livery accentuating its peerless elegance. Breitling is committed to safeguard this undisputable flying legend that also bears incomparably eloquent testimony to the golden age of propeller planes.

The event hit a high with a fashion presentation featuring Breitling and cutting edge fashion brand G-Star Raw's Autumn/Winter collection. The eccentric style of G-Star Raw fashion combined perfectly with the adventurous spirit of Breitling's 2011 collections to present a creative and original combinations of classy stylish with a twist.

No party is complete without presence of famous faces. The event was well attended by local business's who's whos and personalities like Danny Yeo, Angelique Teo, songbird Dawn Ho, Linda Black, Paula Robinson, among others. The stage programme was hosted by TV personality Oli Pettigrew.
