Further, they can choose contextually relevant content to appear on their product pages. In turn, products in the guide can be liked to relevant editorial content. "Brand marketing is new to this segment," explained Burley, who added that the manufacturer relied on the retailer to brand goods. "But if manufacturers are to survive they must push their brand to the buyer. This program allows the manufacturer to control the type of editorial that surrounds their products, and gives press agents an avenue for product placement content."
