Qatar Chamber Of Commerce Announces The National Talent Summit To Be Hosted In Doha, Qatar This November

The Qatar 2010 National Talent Summit to bring together senior statesmen and business leaders from across the Gulf to tackle one of today's most important strategic development challenges.

More than fifty senior government and business leaders from across the Gulf Co-operation Council countries are expected to attend the second annual National Talent Summit hosted by the Qatar Finance and Business Academy in Doha, Qatar on 7th-8th of November this year.

H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Jasim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will open the Qatar Talent Summit in support of the Nation's flagship development strategy, Qatar Vision 2030.

The Summit, led by Oxford Strategic Consulting, will present new research from leading European business schools and business best-practice on how to build Differentiating Strategic Capabilities (DiSCs) needed to create competitive advantage across the Gulf. Strategy Regeneration (SRg), a specialist consultancy in strategic innovation, will present Blue Ocean Strategy, a range of advanced approaches to developing forward thinking strategy for meeting fast changing challenges.

"This is a great opportunity for GCC leaders in government and business to get together, review the latest research, and to tackle together the challenge of creating strong strategic capabilities across the Gulf," says Professor William Scott Jackson of Oxford Strategic Consulting.

"It is critically important today that they can grow, nurture long-term and not simply import the talent needed to drive growth and development, to create the sustainable capabilities needed to compete globally."

Led by Professor William Scott-Jacskon and Jens Meyer, the second day, Monday 8th November includes a hands-on Masterclass for Managers responsible for implementing strategy and nationalization programmes. A morning mentoring session and afternoon break-out session into small groups of GCC leaders will provide delegates with an opportunity to discuss solutions to national and organisational challenges, and leave with a practical methodology capable of creating immediate and sustainable impact for Managers and their teams.

Delegates will also be able to take advantage of open networking, and individual one-to-one Diagnosis-to-Action sessions with industry experts.

The Qatar Talent Summit 2010 is made possible and proudly supported by the Qatar Chamber of Comerce and Industry, Qatar Finance and Business Academy, Serco and Jobe International.
