Quality First Home Improvement Inc Reviews & Expands Its Manager Development Program in Citrus Heights, CA
Online, December 1, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Quality First Home Improvement Inc., an exterior home improvement contractor, recently redeveloped its management development program, and made it available to all employees. Employees may apply to the program, and if selected, they have the opportunity to learn all the aspects of management concerned with their department, allowing them to later move into a management position.
Quality First consists of many departments, such as telemarketing, canvassing, home shows, solar, office management, installation, and sales. Each of these departments has its own set of specific skills that are necessary to learn before an employee is qualified to enter a management position. The current manager of a department is responsible for training its prospects. The management development program is flexible, and designed specifically to compliment each department.
The extensive training program covers many aspects of management and is intended to give the candidate a broad range of management skills. General management skills and specific to the department skills are covered in the program. The program encompasses subjects like managing people, recruiting, business administration, accounting responsibilities, product knowledge, and production.
Once the necessary skills are taught and a candidate enters management, the training continues on an on-going basis, as new methods and updates are added to the program.
The program gives motivated people the opportunity to advance in their position, providing they have the ability to pass each potion of the necessary requirements expected of new managers.
Those that do succeed in getting through all aspects of the training are moved into a manager position once it becomes available. In some cases, the management trainee candidate may be positioned as an assistant manager, before they are given the responsibility of a full time manager. The additional training as an assistant manager may be a necessity, as some departments require much more in depth training than others.
