Queens Tile Store Partners With George to the Rescue

Tiles Unlimited participated in their second "George to the Rescue" rescue. "George to the Rescue" is an NBC home improvement show that helps those in need.

Tiles Unlimited, Inc. one of the leading tile dealers in Queens – recently partnered with NBC’s popular home improvement show George to the Rescue to help furnish a new bedroom and bathroom for Terry Sherwood, an amazing lady who suffers from ALS and is confined to a wheelchair.

Being confined to a wheelchair in a two-story house makes daily living difficult for Ms. Sherwood. The George to the Rescue team built a new bedroom and fully accessible bathroom on the first floor so Ms. Sherwood can lead a more normal life. Tiles Unlimited donated approximately 750 sq. ft. of floor, wall and glass tile for the project as well as the necessary installation materials.

"I can only hope that it will inspire other companies to do the same. "

Joseph L. Pipitone, President

“Our contribution to this effort is the least we can do to make life easier for Ms. Sherwood,” said Joseph L. Pipitone, CEO of Tiles Unlimited. “I can only hope that it will inspire other companies to do the same. “Tiles Unlimited’s mission is “Making a difference one square foot at a time” and projects like this help us to fulfill our mission. “

Tune in to NBC this Saturday on channel 4 at 9:00am. Tiles Unlimited, several other vendors and George to the Rescue help improve the life of Terry Sherwood.
