Radio Mantra Brings 'RJ-Giri' To Varanasi

Online, January 6, 2011 (Newswire.com) - It's time for Varanasi to show some 'RJGIRI' as Radio Mantra has kicked off another RJ hunt to find out the best voice of the holy city!

The first round of auditions started on the 5th of January and will go on till 9th. The five-day activity will give youngsters an opportunity to showcase their communication skills and in return, get a chance to become an RJ with Radio Mantra and win a cash prize of Rupees Twenty Five Thousand!

Elaborating on the same Kanwar Sameer, National Programming Head, Radio Mantra said: After a huge success in Jalandhar, 'RJGIRI' has now reached Varanasi, where we continue our search for a great voice, full of life and attitude. On the very first day itself, we got some 1000 plus entries which is quite overwhelming and we hope to get the similar response, through out.

After this first phase of auditions, the top ten shortlisted contestants will be judged on their general knowledge, spontaneity, wit, sense of humor, overall personality and their connect with the listeners.
Top 10 will have to clear various stages and tasks in order to escape daily eliminations in order to make their way to the Top 4. The final four will go ON-AIR and the audience will start voting for their favourite contestant, which be followed by a final showdown on the 22nd of January, 2011.

The station is primarily targeting college students and young executives in the age-group of 18-30 and is carrying the BTL activities all over the city. The crew will hunt the major hot spots of the city like JHV mall, IP mall, Lanka and other main market places to find the best of the talent.

To add momentum to the activity, station has adopted a multimedia approach for promotions which includes Print, Television, Outdoors, BTL, Digital and Radio.To ensure maximum participation from the city, various channels are being used to invite entries: like Call Ins, IVR, SMS and mobile studio.
