Online, October 13, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Radisson Blu Hotel, Cairo Heliopolis helped out 100 families from the poor, hungry, orphans and labourers. The Box Appeal asks people to give back to those who need it most by filling a small box with a list of everyday. Our suppliers and public figures supported us in this campaign which was split between three different groups.
The majority of the boxes that were collected went to Hope Village Street kids, providing them with useful equipment for school like copybooks, pencils, geometry equipments, pencil case, lunch box and coloring pencils.
In addition, a portion of boxes were donated to six families in the 3ezbet khairallah region, providing them with much needed food supplies like meat, chicken, rice, pasta, tomato sauce and sugar. And lastly some boxes were given to the labourers of "Secre Coeur Heliopolis" a French school providing them with items such as slippers, towels, bed sheets, dental kit, shower gel, comb, body lotion and a lufa.
"We regularly run charity campaigns within our hotel but this time we are so energized while distributing the boxes to 100s families living in a poverty, we are so excited from that as despite of helping 6 families as part from the responsible activities for this year, this time we managed to help 100 families," said Ashraf Naguib, General Manager at the Radisson Blu Heliopolis, Cairo.
