Raising The Bar For Real Estate

How a Huntsville, AL Real Estate Agency Has Thrown The Gauntlet By Giving Back

While Huntsville, Alabama has survived the housing crisis considerably well in comparison to the rest of the nation, it is not immune to the atmosphere of distrust that exists between consumers, the community, and real estate professionals. One local agency, however, is trying to change that by sponsoring Make A Difference Huntsville: a day of volunteerism and service for senior citizens in their community. The project will focus on ramp repairs for seniors, as well as light housekeeping and yard maintenance.

"It's not enough to just talk about our core values." says Broker/Owner Elizabeth Ramsey Golden of @Homes Realty Group. "We have to show the community that we do care, and we do have giving hearts. Right now, seeing is believing for them."

Those who have worked with @Homes Realty Group are taking notice. "I LOVE your community involvement....know we love and support you!" said one family working with Golden. She's even recruited past clients to join in the fun, as well as other businesses in Huntsville. "We are so grateful to have other businesses and members of our community coming together to help. 4Wall Entertainment Lighting has become a sponsor, allowing us use of a vehicle, their warehouse, and even use of their VP of Business Development!" Golden laughs. "He [Bryan Comer] has been such an incredible help to us in this project."

"We also have Wilson Lumber as a co-sponsor,--they are donating some materials. As well as Slice At A Time who offered to donate handmade cinnamon rolls for the volunteers." Golden adds. "We are so fortunate to have the support of others in the community who really share our giving hearts."

And for this group of volunteers, "giving" is what it's all about. "This is just a blessing!" proclaimed Ms. Williams, one of the seniors who will have her wheelchair ramp repaired. "When you see how happy they are that someone came to help, when they see that someone cares...it is one of the best feelings in the world." says @Homes Realty Agent, Ainsley Bowen.

"Our goal is to help others and give back to our community. We'd be doing these things anyway, but we're hoping to repair some of the trust that was lost by our industry during the housing crisis. Consumers are weary now, and they should be. If we want our community to believe that we are here to help, we have to show them." says Golden.

@Homes Realty Group and their team of volunteers will be hitting the streets of Huntsville, AL tools in tow, this Saturday from 8:30 - 3pm.
"We still need volunteers, and donations of materials like cleaning supplies, nails...things like that" says Amber Menin, @Homes Realty Group's Office Manager. "We really hope that we can continue to grow our community involvement in this project."

@Homes Realty Group was founded in 2010, and in that same year was nominated as one of Inman's "Innovators of the Year". @Homes Realty Group features a unique consumer friendly website and continues to provide innovative approaches to consumer education with their soon to follow video FAQ page, and virtual tours for buyers and sellers.
