Ram Jack Stabilizes Rabobank Foundation

When foundation settlement began surfacing in a Rabobank, owners worried that the vault would become compromised.  Using steel piles and altering the original plan to accommodate immediate needs, Ram Jack California stabilized the structure and lifted it a total of 3.5 in. elevation recovery.

If a bank vault is compromised, bank operations come to a halt due to safety issues. Rabobank was facing this very potential problem.  Foundation failure left the main vault with limited support, calling for repairs as soon as possible.  Enter Ram Jack California.

Ram Jack proposed using 70 driven and 30 helical piles to stabilize the settling vault.  However, problems were encountered once the job began.  While removing concrete to install piles, the header and roof system began to collapse further, results of failed repair attempts in the past.  Thus, the plan was altered, the floor was removed and the helicals were used as pre-construction piles.

Once all the piles were installed, a Manifold Lift System raised the structure a total of 3.5”. Stability was restored to the vault and the bank was able to go on with business as usual.
