Random Acts of Pontification

Random Acts of Pontification is unique because it is a collaborative effort with several charities and non-profit organizations including those supported by the celebrities involved in this project.

Russ Cootey (Alignment Films) and Tisha Rivera (Self-Check Productions) have begun production on "Random Acts of Pontification" directed by Russ Cootey. This is a documentary-style feature film that focuses on the current state of humanity. The emphasis is on interviews with celebrities and others who have made a positive impact on our culture, as well as those who have fallen victim to economic and other societal afflictions.

Random Acts of Pontification is unique because it is a collaborative effort with several charities and non-profit organizations including those supported by the celebrities involved in this project. It is also a collaboration between celebrities and non-celebrities alike. Everyone's voice is heard in this film.

Some of the charities and not for profit organizations include those which focus on homelessness, child abuse, child protection, child safety, animal rescue, education, transition, missing children, battered women, aids, cancer, breast cancer, children's hospital, and others.

Statistics show that Americans donate almost $300 Billion dollars each year to various charities and not for profit organizations. In fact, Americans rank number one in charitable giving globally despite the current economic conditions we are facing in our society.

The average American household donates approximately $2000 dollars each year. This is a testament to the importance of helping others and improving our society as a whole.

Random Acts of Pontification is meant provoke thought and a sense of conscience in the audience, as well as those who take part in this film.

Each interview in this documentary allows the subject to speak freely, and to say exactly what is on his or her mind with regard to where we are as a society, how we got here, and what needs to be done to improve the future for all Americans and the world.

Production officially began on Thursday, July 14th 2011 and will go through Summer 2011. This film is set to be released in 2012.
