Ranger Up Announces First Charity Day Feb 19th
Online, February 3, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Military and patriotic apparel company Ranger Up, based in North Carolina, has targeted February 19th as their first Charity Day where 20% of all proceeds from that day will go to Soldier's Angels, a non-profit organization that supports military servicemembers abroad and at home.
"Ranger Up has always given to military charities, but like with all operations we want to keep getting better at raising money and continuing to give back to the community that made us who we are today," says Ranger Up CEO Nick Palmisciano. " Choosing a specific date focuses our resources and allows us to set goals, both for us and the Ranger Up community. Obviously, we wish we were Microsoft and could give to everyone that asks, but we're still a small company, so we try to find ways to maximize our support of the military."
A Veteran-owned company, Ranger Up has a longstanding relationship with Soldier's Angels and has supported other events with the organization in the past. But future Charity Days will benefit other local and national charities.
"In the future, we'll also allow our community to provide input as to the next charity we should support. The Ranger Up world is made up of so many different populations - Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, Police, Fire, Special Operations - that we want to be able to spread the wealth."
Ranger Up was launched in 2006 and makes patriotic and military streetwear as well as Mixed Martial Arts fight wear. They have grown a loyal following among the military and were featured in The Army Times in March, 2009.
