Rapid Circle and Zevenseas Announce Merger

Rapid Circle and Zevenseas today announce a merger, formally bringing together two SharePoint teams that have partnered closely for more than four years.

Rapid Circle, a Dutch based specialist in SharePoint/Office365, and Zevenseas, a SharePoint specialist based in Australia and India, are merging. This will allow them to take a fresh approach to the enterprise software and devices market where dramatic changes are already underway. The new organisation will embrace the disruptive forces of cloud, apps, devices and IT sonsumerisation, helping customers to make smarter investments in solutions that people love to use from any device they choose. The enw company will adpot the Rapid Circle brand.

Daniel McPherson, a Zevenseas' founder and CTO in the new organisation: "The combination of four IT inflection points at once, being Consumerisation, Appification, Devicification and the Cloud, is changing everything. It's happening faster than anyone predicted, making it important we accelerate our plans by formally joining forces. The combination of local market and functional knowledge, with a strong and fast growing technical team in India, is the model of the future."

In line with the strategic direction of Microsoft, over the last 18 months, the company has made a number of key hires, adding deep Azure and mobile skills to compliment the SharePoint team. The result of this has been the recent launch of Leap, a next generation Azure based set of hosted solutions for Office365. The product launch follows the previous launch of Attini Social Suite for SharePoint, which has been in the market for more than 3 years.

Wilco Turnhout, Rapid Circle's co-founder and CCO: "Users want the same innovation speed as Facebook, and they want to use their apps from any device. The cloud and the app-model are the only way to bring this speed of innovation. That's where our focus will be."

Harold Punter, CEO: "We have gained a lot of experience combining a great technology consulting company, and a great product company. With the shift to apps, this is the future. Our proposition suits other countries as well, and we will be establishing a local presence in two other countries within two years."
