Raw Business Seeks Business Link Mentors
Online, August 11, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Following the recent announcement by online business network, Raw Business, to open it's membership to the whole of the business community at no cost, the network now wants to hear from anyone previously involved in Business Link.
In June this year, Government Business and Enterprise Minister Mark Prisk announced the ceasing of funding to the Business Link program as part of the Government's austerity measures. This announcement spurred Raw Business to remove its historic paid subscription service and open the online network to all members of the business and wider communities.
Raw Business MD, Bradley Chapman said "Following our change to a free membership, we would like to hear from anyone previously involved with Business Link. The people behind the scenes at Business Link obviously care passionately about business and we would love to speak to them and bring them into the Raw Business family so they can continue supporting business with the same passion they have shown in the public sector. By bringing the members of Business Link as well as the people behind the scenes into the Raw fold we really can continue to offer real, valuable advice to businesses. It would be a shame if the skills of the people behind Business Link were lost along with the program in these cuts."
Raw Business publishes a free, monthly business magazine in which Mr Prisk has agreed to write an article outlining the government's decision to axe Business Link whilst also showing the Governments continued support for private sector business networks such as Raw Business.
Raw Business' online network has over 12,000 members and the company has already gained support from some of the UK's most successful entrepreneurs and business owners including David Gold, Doug Richard, Duncan Bannatyne and Charlie Mullins.
