Real Estate Career Training Offered To Las Vegas Unemployed
Online, February 10, 2011 (Newswire.com) - One Southern Nevada real estate company is taking unemployment into its own hands. Prudential Americana Group, one of the state's oldest and largest real estate company, is taking action to help unemployed citizens by offering professional education free to those who are unemployed.
"Everyone knows that Nevada has the highest unemployment rate in the country at more than 14 percent," said Mark Stark, Prudential's CEO. "For those who are motivated to start a new career, we wanted to provide an option." Prudential Americana Group's popular pre-licensing course provides 80 hours of real estate education over five weeks to help participants prepare for the Nevada Real Estate License exam. Normally $399.00, the course is now offered free to qualified applicants who have been unemployed 24 months or less.
"This is an opportunity to take control of your career and get your real estate license," said Stark. "Students from this course have a high track record of success in the real estate business and we want to help anyone who is committed to starting a new career."
Classes are held weekday evenings at Prudential's corporate headquarters at 2140 E. Pebble Road, Suite 160. Registration is available online at www.AmericanaAcademy.com or via phone by calling Michelle Casolari at 702-796-7777.
"When we saw that companies like Ford Motor Credit were closing their offices, we knew we needed to take action," said Stark. "This is an opportunity to learn a new skill and find out what it really takes to be a REALTOR in Southern Nevada."
"We also wanted current real estate sales executives to have an opportunity to increase their business," said Stark. "Prudential's new RE-Start program is currently being offered at no charge to licensed Nevada REALTORs." RE-Start, a high intensity training program for experienced REALTORs, includes topics such as increasing listings, new tools & techniques for real estate marketing, internet marketing, growing a real estate business and creating a business plan. Registration for Prudential's RE-Start course is available at www.AmericanaAcademy.com.
"Whether you want to start or kick-start a career in real estate, Americana Academy can be a great opportunity. I encourage you to take it!" said Stark.
Prudential Americana Group is one of Nevada's oldest and largest real estate companies with more than 1,000 sales executives and approximately 4,200 current home listings.
