Real-Money Handicapping Contest Returns In August At Premier Turf Club

BetPTC.com brings back their real-money tournament for horseplayers in August, offering up $4,000 in cash prizes with no entry fee.

The fifth edition of the popular Cash Is King real-money handicapping tournament returns at Premier Turf Club on the second Saturday of August. U.S. Licensed ADW Premier Turf Club (BetPTC.com) is offering up $4,000 in cash prizes for the contest which is held over eight Saturdays, August 10 through September 28.

As with the previous Cash Is King tournaments, there is no entry fee to participate, and since it's a real-money contest, in addition to any prizes, members keep whatever they win in their account.

The Cash Is King contest at BetPTC.com takes away the inequities of traditional handicapping tournaments and lets handicappers play how they want, on the tracks they want, and best of all, with a very small, minimum amount of wagering.

"It doesn't matter if you a big bettor or a small bettor. All participants have an equal chance to win the prizes in our weekly tournament at BetPTC.com," explained General Manager Todd Bowker. "The contest is scored based on your return on investment (ROI), not on how much you play. It remains the fairest contest available to horseplayers today."

What's at stake in Cash is King V? $4,000 in cold, hard cash and the coveted title of Cash Is King V handicapping champ for the grand prize winner.

Traditional handicapping contests are not designed to appeal to all horseplayers. If the contest is filled with mandatory races at tracks that the horseplayer doesn't normally play, it slants the playing field toward others in the tournament who play those tracks. Cash money contests, on the other hand, typically require large minimum wagering thresholds or entry fees that price most players out. The Cash Is King contest at BetPTC.com takes away those inequities and lets every level of horseplayer participate. It doesn't matter if you a big bettor or a small player. Everyone has an equal chance to win the prizes in the one-of-a-kind "Cash Is King" contest at BetPTC.com.

The Tournament Director for the event is veteran contest player Rich Nilsen, who in 1999 created the first-ever online qualifier for the National Handicapping Championship (NHC). Nilsen also managed the online tournaments at the leading horseracing sites Brisnet.com and TwinSpires.com for several years.

"This contest is unique in that it is designed to emulate normal play," said Nilsen. "Horseplayers can play like they do on any other Saturday and their performance will count towards the tournament scoring. If they don't do well on any given Saturday, chances are that low score will be thrown out."

Cash Is King plays can be made online or by phone on the racetracks of the player's choice on Saturdays beginning August 10 and running through September 28, 2013. To qualify for contest scoring on Saturdays, registered members must play a minimum of $100 during the course of a contest day.

Registration for the event is quick and easy for members of Premier Turf Club, which is also offering a $100 sign-up bonus for new customers of the service. Rules for the Cash Is King V tournament, as well as a leaderboard, can be found at BetPTC.com.
