Recupyl Named A 2010 Global Cleantech 100 Company

Online, October 21, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Recupyl, an international company that develops and operates processes to recover strategic metals from waste (the new "urban mine") - with a primary focus on electric batteries - has been included in the prestigious 2010 Global Cleantech 100 group of companies. This list is put together by Cleantech, a leading provider of global market research and advisory services for the cleantech industry, as part of its Global Cleantech 100 program run in association with Guardian News & Media and sponsored by Autodesk. 2010 marks the second year in a row that Recupyl has been selected.

The Global Cleantech 100 program is unique in that it recognizes the most promising clean-technology companies around the world; companies that are positioned to make the most significant market impact over the next five to ten years, according to international cleantech experts.

Recupyl was selected into the top 100 from over 4,500 nominations. To select the 100 finalists-which in 2010 came from 14 different countries-Cleantech combines its own data and research with weighted qualitative assessments from hundreds of cleantech industry professionals as well as a 60-strong panel of international experts. To qualify for the Global Cleantech 100, companies must be independent, for-profit businesses in the cleantech industry and not listed on any major stock exchange.
