Miami, Florida, November 24, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Kicking off the Miami Art Week, Ricieri Art Studio presents a red carpet night for a unique exhibition featuring the Italian-Brazilian Artist Roberto Ricieri on December 1. The Emotions of R. Ricieri will display over 100 works by the artist, including his highly regarded Infinity Series of paintings, as well as sculptures and drawings. Attendees will also enjoy a hardcover book with five of his collections, a documentary movie, his own testimony about his time in captivity and how it led to him becoming an artist.
Born in 1959 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Ricieri has created more than 1,000 paintings, using acrylic on canvas, along drawing with pencil and carbon. He discovered his style and way of thinking about art in prison, which affected his work with real life inspiration and deep emotion. Admired by many, Ricieri never attended art school. As an entrepreneur, he often traveled to Europe and North America where he spent much of his time observing the masters of art in museums around the world.
Looking back at my work, I can see the human being who dwells within me. We are one, in search of freedom whichever path. We are prisoners hoping to find the essence of life itself.
