Red Hat Society Brings Convention Back to Las Vegas and Invites Locals to Join Them in the Celebration

2000 Members of the International Red Hat Society will converge on Las Vegas for their yearly convention where Candy Spelling will be a keynote speaker. The General public is invited to the "Bling Expo" known as the Hat District for only $5.

The Red Hat Society® (RHS), one of the world's largest women's social organizations which is dedicated to bringing fun and friendship to the lives of women, will host their annual convention, "The Golden Age of Glamour" for approximately 2000 Members June 28-July 1, 2012 at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel.

The city of Las Vegas is very important to the Society and has been host for two previous RHS events. In 2005, the Society held its largest convention in Las Vegas with more than 5000 in attendance. In 2008, RHS debuted Hats! The Musical at Harrah's and took part in one of the world's longest Can Can's on the Las Vegas strip. Because of the magnetic allure of the city, the Society has been determined to bring another event to Las Vegas. With the iconic ties to Hollywood, Las Vegas is the perfect backdrop for the Golden Age of Glamour.

The Golden Age of Glamour will relive the golden era of the silver screen with live entertainment, an appearance from RHS Member and celebrity author, Candy Spelling, a private showing of the classic Las Vegas show, Jubilee!, and, most importantly two history making events for the Members in attendance presided over by Founder Sue Ellen Cooper and CEO Debra Granich--a royal Queen's Coronation and a REDuation Ceremony (the ceremony a Hatter looks forward to when they turn the magical age of 50.)

Throughout the entire 3 day convention, the general public can step into the excitement for a mere $5 admission and shop the expo hall (known as the Hat District) which will host an array of vendors selling everything from "bling" to the latest fascinators and hats, while being entertained free of charge with a unique line up including wine samplings by EJ Gallo's Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, daily fashion shows, a Red Hatter's Talent Show, crafting activities, hat making demonstrations from world renowned milliners and more!

Debra Granich states, "We are delighted to be returning to Las Vegas to host our event once again. Our ladies have been waiting on this moment for the last four years. We look forward to hosting many Las Vegas residents during our time in Las Vegas as they experience 'our world' found in the Hat District."
