Redevelopment of Alappuzha Marina in Kerala

Arrol Consultancies, a marina consultancy company, who have successfully completed over 30 similar marina projects worldwide have been chosen to partner with Deloitte
Following the Kochi International Marina, the first of its kind in the country, the Alappuzha Marina Development is the next development being undertaken in a Public Private development basis. Alappuzha Marina is currently lying defunct and Deloit and Arrol will explore the possibility of a costal shipping cargo port. A exhaustive project report is estimated to be submitted by the Deloitte and Arrol team by 31st July to the State Government.There was a high level discussion between Deloitte, Arrol Consultancies and representative of the Kerala government and after significant debate it was mutually agreed that once the project report had been submitted and approved, the tender process would take roughly ten months.
Mr. Arrol, a world famous Marina consultant, who made a presentation of the studies conducted so far, said the primary focus would be on the marina, which was to be linked with backwater tourism, utilising the tourism potential of Alappuzha's heritage structures and historic canals. The project specifications comprise canals to take vacationers to the Kuttanad backwaters as well as facilities for water sports and yachting.
