REELY Corp. announced today a long-term partnership with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), a collegiate athletic conference affiliated in NCAA Division I, to produce clips and highlights in real-time with condensed games available shortly after game time. The short-form video will be utilized by the MAAC conference and each of the 11 affiliated schools that are based in the northeastern United States: Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York.

This partnership represents the second full collegiate conference to utilize the REELY platform including its proprietary machine vision and machine learning based highlight detection. Once prepared, the content can quickly and easily be delivered across social media and websites with a single click. Over 750 games will be processed in real-time when live or up to eight times real-time speed if on-demand video is utilized.

REELY has developed and continues to evolve a HYPE score giving the MAAC and all of its member schools ranked and sorted highlights. The REELY platform increases the efficiency with which editors can find, select, and distribute content – saving time and money and increasing brand-building opportunities and monetization.

“2018 was a great year for REELY and 2019 shapes up to be even better,” said REELY Chief Marketing Officer and Co-Founder Ian Stephens, “We are engaged with so many conferences and colleges – we are thrilled that the MAAC has chosen to become an early adopter and look forward to supporting this partnership and helping the conference and all its schools tell their stories.”

REELY on-boarded over 15 college teams last year and has already eclipsed that number in January alone. The AI-based platform works across a broad range of field and gymnasium sports including basketball, football, soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, lacrosse and hockey.

“The MAAC is excited to partner with REELY,” said Director Of New Media/Video Joe Ruggiero. “The new technology used to create highlights is something we are excited for our schools to be able to use. This partnership will help our institutions reach their fans on social media in real time with video highlights.”

Using the REELY platform is incredibly easy – all it takes is three simple steps. Users enter a link to their content, REELY processes the video and the output is delivered via the RocketReel where authorized users can distribute it appropriately. The platform can be utilized through a web-based interface or an API depending upon the use-case. “The traction we have gained in the college space has been beyond our expectations,” continued Mr. Stephens. “Once they see how easy it is to use, which typically happens in less than five minutes of a demo, they can’t wait to sign up!”
