Regional Chamber Elects New Officers and Board for 2016

Westwood, NJ, December 14, 2015 (Newswire.com) - The Greater Pascack Valley Chamber of Commerce (GPVCOC) has elected its 2016 officers and made changes to its Board of Directors at its last meeting. Outgoing GPVCOC president, Anna Lui (Modera Wealth Management in Westwood, NJ), successfully led the group over the past two years. After serving two terms, she stepped down to allow others to become more involved and to spend more time with her young family.

Anna stated her proudest accomplishment over her two terms involved the re-invigoration of the regional Chamber. This was exemplified this past year by the launching of a new Chamber website (www.PascackChamber.org), adding eCommerce to the website for donations, membership, and ticket sales, creating new networking events, sponsoring new service events, and much more. The Chamber is well positioned to continue its growth and influence in the coming year.

Stephanie Dack (Better Homes & Garden Rand Realty in Closter, NJ) is the newly elected GPVCOC President for 2016. Most recently, she served as the Secretary for the Chamber. “I’m really looking forward to building on the work that Anna and the group has done this past year,” Stephanie stated after the elections. “I expect that the Chamber will grow in members and be able to accomplish so much more in 2016.”

Chamber Activities

The Greater Pascack Valley Chamber of Commerce is non-profit organization dedicated to improving their community, specifically in the greater Pascack Valley. The GPVCOC functions as a regional entity, covering the following ten towns: Emerson, Hillsdale, Montvale, Old Tappan, Oradell, Park Ridge, River Vale, Washington Township, Westwood, and Woodcliff Lake. The regional Chamber works in tandem with local Chamber of Commerce organizations and sponsors many events such as the Pascack Valley “Citizen of the Year” dinner, job fairs, collegiate scholarships, business expos, and donations and philanthropic events for community groups. The mission of the organization can be summarized as “Supporting and promoting the business and community interests of the greater Pascack Valley.

The newly elected officers are: President – Stephanie Dack (Better Homes & Garden Rand Realty in Closter, NJ), Vice President – Jerome Gans (Zounds Hearing of Bergen County in Washington Twp, NJ), Treasurer – Sandy McLeod (Johl & Company in Westwood, NJ), Secretary – Kelly Buchanan (Rite Aid Pharmacy of Washington Twp. In Washington Twp., NJ), Marketing Chair – Paul Wharton (Local Resident and Marketing Executive in Park Ridge, NJ), Membership Co-Chair – Grace Szymczyk (Valley National Bank in River Vale, NJ), and Membership Co-Chair – Marta O’Connor (Kearny Bank in River Vale, NJ). Officers are elected to one year terms.
