Competition gives gamers the chance to compete for $25,000 and a good cause

The Last Gamer Standing competition is giving one person the opportunity of a lifetime: $25,000 and a two-page advertorial inside Game Informer magazine.

Video games have been creating global connections for years, and it's time to help bring the joy of competition into the limelight while raising money for an amazing cause. The online competition is free to enter and pits gamers from around the world against each other through a system of public voting. From PC to console and everything in between, this competition is open to gamers 13 years and older of all skill levels and backgrounds. To compete, gamers must share their stories and passion for gaming. In the end, the gamer with the most votes will come out on top.

Last Gamer Standing is proud to partner with the Starlight Children's Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization that delivers happiness to children in hospitals and their families. Since 1982, Starlight's groundbreaking and innovative programs, like Starlight Virtual Reality, Starlight Hospital Wear, and Starlight Gaming, have impacted 17 million kids at more than 800 children's hospitals across the U.S.

"We're honored and excited to collaborate with Last Gamer Standing to help raise funds to deliver happiness to seriously ill kids across the country," says Starlight Foundation CEO, Adam Garone. "With two of our core programs in VR and Gaming, this collaboration is a perfect alignment of our work and communities. Starlight VR and Gaming transform the hospital experience of young patients by providing play and distraction during difficult medical procedures, helping them relax and heal."

"Our team is so thrilled to provide yet another channel for their mission to gain support," says an executive at Last Gamer Standing, "There's a special joy to being able to play video games and be part of that community, and we want to help bring that joy to others."
