Reliance TimeOut: Round Two at Mantri Mall
Online, April 7, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Reliance Timeout, the leisure format of Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Retail, has opened its 4th store in Bangalore at Mantri Square Mall. The new store has a reach of 15,000 square feet and boasts of 30,000 book titles and 15,000 movie and music titles. It also has a wide range of stationery items for kids and office use, gift items, fragrances and watches on display. As an inaugural offer customers will receive a gift voucher of Rs.100 on every purchase worth Rs.500 at Reliance Timeout.
Deepinder Kapany, head, Reliance Timeout, says, "Our Reliance Timeout stores in Malleshwaram is a testimony to our commitment to open a store in northern Bengaluru, which hitherto was neglected by organised retail. Our services have constantly been appreciated by our customers as we offer unmatched choice at unbeatable price. We have specially come up with the initiative of putting two stores in the largest mall of India, since 50 per cent of hyper customers come for daily needs and they don't roam through the entire mall. Hence, having a specific corner exclusively catering to their impulse of books, magazines, music, movies and stationery would be a major attraction for the customers."
At the end of 2009 Mr. Kapany had announced that "In the next 3-5 years, we will have a total of 45 Reliance TimeOut outlets across four states-mainly in western and southern India. Our strategy is to first saturate a town, then a state followed by the entire region." Amidst several brand tie-ups and book launches that Reliance Timeout has seen over the last couple of months, this falls in line with the new initiatives the Reliance Retail and specifically Reliance TimeOut are taking towards the expansion of the brand. Keeping pace with the customer's demand, Reliance Timeout has opened another 650 sq. ft store at the mall.
"We have a substantial focus on north Kannada books and music keeping the demands of Malleshwaram in mind. The customers will be surely delighted with two stores in the largest mall in India with the international standards of service, product range, quality and shopping experience," underlines Kapany.
