Remanufacturing Industries Council Announces 2017 ACE Award Finalists

RIC to reveal winners at RIC-RIT World Remanufacturing Conference on June 21

The ACE Award is presented to an inspiring person or company that is recognized for their leadership in creating positive change for the remanufacturing industry and sustainability. ACE Award recipients are willing to do what it takes to make a difference and the Remanufacturing Industries Council would like to recognize these individuals for their unparalleled contributions.

On June 21, RIC will be granting a $1,000 scholarship to a college student in honor of the award recipient for each award category: ADVOCATE, COLLABORATE and EDUCATE. The winners will also receive national recognition and validation from industry peers.

The Advocate Award recognizes industry leaders who have shown dedication to promoting remanufacturing or sustainability in business, government, education, or other fields. Finalists for this category are:

  • Michael Cardone - Chairman and CEO at Cardone Industries
  • David Rosenfield - President/CEO at ROMAC Supply
  • Brian Waldo - Director at Sullair Remanufacturing LLC

The Collaborate Award recognizes leaders that have worked with other companies, regulatory bodies, and lawmakers in an exceptional way to build unity and collaboration in order to increase the adoption of remanufacturing and other sustainable practices. Finalists for this category are:

  • Bruce Collins - VP Aftermarket and Warranty Service at Bobcat/Doosan
  • Salvador Munoz - General Manager at WABCO Reman Solutions
  • Nabil Nasr - Associate Provost at RIT and Director for Golisano Institute for Sustainability

The Educate Award recognizes leaders that have demonstrated a passion for educating others on the benefits of remanufacturing and sustainability. Finalists for this category are:

  • Kip Blakely - VP of Customer and Government Relations at HAECO Americas
  • Melissa McMahon - Engine Regulatory Compliance at CNH Industrial Reman
  • Chintan Sopariwala - General Manager, Remanufacturing and Core Operation at Navistar

About the RIC-RIT World Remanufacturing Conference: The conference is a two-day event in Rochester, NY, in which remanufacturing leaders can learn about and discuss the most salient topics in the industry. Attendees are ensured a singular opportunity to collaborate for the global advancement of the remanufacturing industry. The ACE awards reception will take place during a dinner on the first official day of the conference, June 21.
