Remanufacturing Industries Council Announces T-Shirt Contest for Global Reman Day

ROCHESTER, N.Y., October 31, 2018 (Newswire.com) - The Remanufacturing Industries Council (RIC), the strategic industry alliance dedicated to accelerating the growth of the entire remanufacturing industry, announced a t-shirt design contest for global Reman Day.

Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place winners. The following prizes were donated by Remanufacturing Industries Council member, America’s Remanufacturing Company.

• First Place: Dyson V7 Motorhead Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner
• Second Place: LG 0.9 cu ft Microwave
• Third Place: Sunseeker 26CC Curved Shaft Grass Trimmer

This year’s contest will help celebrate global Reman Day on April 11, 2019 by seeking the best t-shirt design that represents the remanufacturing industry. Remanufacturing is an industrial process by which a previously sold or used product is returned to “like-new” or “better-than-new” condition. 

Remanufacturing is a triple win for people, the planet and profits. Remanufacturing saves, on average, 85% of energy use, 86% of water use, and 85% of material use compared to new goods. In the U.S. alone, remanufacturing supports more than 180,000 full time jobs and produces more than $45 billion of remanufactured goods per year. 

Global Reman Dayis a day to advance the remanufacturing industry through remanufacturer- hosted events and workforce development initiatives. In 2018, over a 127 Reman Day events were celebrated in 17 countries across 6 continents.

Entries will be judged by the Remanufacturing Industries Council’s Marketing & Membership Committee and the RIC Remanufacturing Association Alliance. The winner will be notified by email no later than January 3, 2019.
