Online, November 3, 2009 (Newswire.com) - The History Of Renegade Radio (How it REALLY happend) IT BEGAN IN 2003:

Whilst surfing the web looking for rave flyers and pirate radio memorabilia, Puffa surfed into Back To The Old Skool Forum and that started the ball rolling. From swapping stories with other members, tune id's and general chit chat, it soon re-stoked the flames of raving and music. It wasn't long before a pair of second hand turntables were picked up, tunes being purchased and the old vibes were flowing again.

IN 2004:

Puffa met Livvy and a number of the b2vos members.
During this time Puffa was tuning into various radio shows on the internet.

LATE IN 2005:

Dj Inferno contacted Puffa with the offer of a weekly slot on his web radio station, Puffa accepted and took the 8-10 slot on Fridays. A few months later, Inferno had no time to put into the radio due to putting his time into production and left the site in sole control of the owner of the URL.

MID 2006:

The site was hacked, the url owner did not have funds or time to rebuild the site and keep it running. He was about to call it a day and shut it down.
When told about the site closing down, Puffa offered to take co-ownership of the station and with Inferno's blessing, paid for the stream to keep running every month.
With the radio now safe,there was still no site to replace the hacked site, so Puffa contacted his good friend Ash at Acknowledged web designs. After getting a design in his head, Puffa worked with Ash who built the website, forum and downloads section. The new web site was born!

Over the next few months Puffa and Livvy worked hard pulling djs to join the schedule and worked hard on the net promoting the radio and djs.

AUGUST 2007:

Having covered the streaming costs, web site costs etc, Puffa was getting annoyed by the lack of help or interest from a certain "co owner" and though he owned the url, had not done anything to build the status of the site, radio or promoting the djs. This led to a number of disputes.
Late in August on a friday evening, Puffa logged into the chatroom and during a discussion in private another member of the chatroom was instructed to kick and ban him from the chatroom, all passwords were changed and Livvy also got blocked leaving them with nothing after all their work, time and passion.

The next morning Puffa met with Ash again and over a few beers, decided to start fresh. After contacting all he djs and explaining the situation, all but 4 of the 35 djs jumped ship with Puffa.
Now Puffa was going to be sole owner of a station and was ready to take it to the competition, all that was needed was a name......

Renegade Radio

A week later after being kicked from the last project, the new web site was ready to go live and Puffa ran a 20 minute test on the new stream.
The next evening at 6pm on saturday 8th september 2007 Renegade Radio was born with RLS broadcasting the 1st show.
Shortly after the birth of renegade, Livvy was added to an msn conversation and got speaking to Patch.
Patch quickly became a big part of renegade and soon became the renegade webmaster.

Along with Patch a number of other members were asked to moderate the new chatroom and forum.
Renegade radio fast became a success, with guest slots from b2vos djs, kool fm djs, interviews with undercover agent, benny page, topcat and other massive names from the rave scene.

A little about the owner of Renegade Radio :

In 1990 i found a pirate radio station that started my love affair with raving. The station was Cyndicut 100.4 fm. First rave was not long after that, was taken to a club in Gravesend, Kent called 'Slammer' where Cyndicut were holding an event on friday night. From 1991 was buying tunes every weekend from Brickhouse Records in Grays, Essex & Boogie Times in Romford.
From 'old skool' Hardcore i moved with the times into House, Jungle, Happy Hardcore and Drum & Bass while always keeping a torch lit for the old tunes as i thought i was the only person in the world that was still into it. I pretty much stopped going raving by the start of the 00s and the pirate scene on the radio just seemed to be garage (i hate garage) so i just held onto my old tapes and bought CDs. Then my personal life went bad and I 'lost' almost every bit of vinyl I owned and 1000s of tapes.

In 2004 while surfing the net i found B2VOS and the fires were lit again. I started buying vinyl again, got some new turntables and started reliving my youth. In early 2005 I met Livvy and we fast got together. In 2006 I was playing on a net radio station, which I soon became a part owner of and started to put all my time, money and energy into. This didnt last long as there were dissagreements & jelousey before too long. One week after no longer being a part of them, RENEGADE RADIO broadcast its 1st show with R.L.S. at the control and the rest is history.
